4 out of 5 stars Fantastic Speakers, But It Doesn't Charge my iPod :(   December 6, 2008
Zoe (Staffordshire, UK)
I love my Logitech docking station, the sound quality is great (especially when played loud!) but unfortunately it doesn't charge my iPod... a bit disappointing, but I gave it a 4 star because it really is a great product otherwise.

It also looks great in any room of the house :) Will definately buy another Logitech again.

4 out of 5 stars Good value for money and easy on the eye   December 5, 2008
Mr. Niall Rowan (West Sussex UK)
Like many people, I bought an I-pod, put my music on it and then left it in a drawer to gather dust. I have decided I don't realy like wearing earphones. Consequently, I have been waiting for prices of I-pod docks to come down to reasonable levels which they now have. When I saw this one on Amazon for under 30 I thought I'd give it a go.

I have not been disappointed. The sound is good and loud enough for a small room. It could do with some more bass, but for the cabinet size it's very good. I use the 'acoustic' equalisation setting on the I-pod for the best sound.

It's dead easy to use, it looks nice and my I-pod has had more use in the last month than in the previous 3 years. Recommended.

Bought this speaker set because of the glowing reviews listed here.
However I have found the sound quality to be quite poor particularly at low levels (so practically useless for listening quietly in bed). Even at raised volumes the sound quality is not anything to write home about. The built in speakers on my computer monitor are far superior.
So think twice if it is quality sound you are after.

5 out of 5 stars Great value, well designed iPod speaker   October 27, 2008
Guy Dalton (Derby, UK)
I realised after returning my very disappointing Klipsch iGroove, that I needed an iPod speaker that was small, neat, user friendly and practical. I'm very pleased to say that the Logitech Audiostation Express succeeds on all counts. It is small enough that it takes very little room on my kitchen worktop (or in a suitcase) and the mains adaptor is little bigger than plug size. The unit is quite attractive and has a good remote control. Its phono input is sensibly placed on the back, and is sensitive. The unit also takes batteries. There are no worries when inserting the iPod (unlike in the iGroove - see my review), and the unit comes with a generous range of adaptor plates to fit most iPods. The unit gives every impression of being well made.

If the sound quality had been poor, then these features alone would have made it worth the money. Now, Logitech have not performed a miracle on the sound quality front, but it is exceptionally good for a small, relatively cheap unit. It plays very loud and clear, with vocals being especially strong. The bass could not be described as deep, but is very acceptable, is improved if you change the EQ accordingly on the iPod. It will never replace a hi-fi (now that would be a miracle), but for a truly portable system, it does very well indeed.

Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars amazing sound!!!   October 25, 2008

I don't 'do' review's but I had to with this product.

I wanted a small sound system to take away with us in the camper van, and I didn't have great expectations with the size and price of it....

....all i can say is WOW! small system, huge sound!! the clarity and volume is fantastic, infact, my dad, gadget man himself like's them so much he want's them for christmas!

I think it will be the super fussy who will find fault with these.
